What the score and gauge mean
HOD Scores range from 0 to 1,000. The gauge displays that score on the same scale; colors and position are visual aids, not guarantees, credit ratings, or automatic approvals. An illustrative preview is not a consumer record.
A score is not a conventional credit score and does not determine employment, housing, credit, insurance, or eligibility. Missing information is not proof of misconduct. Read the underlying report and its limitations, not the gauge alone.
How information reaches the score
Documented evidence must clear independent manual review before it can affect the system-calculated score. Users and staff cannot manually set a score. Payment, account type, report volume, and certification do not improve it.
Review considers reportable evidence, identity matching, source authenticity, relevance, recency, discrepancies, and disputes under applicable law. A single event must not cause a dramatic swing. No unpublished numerical weights or guaranteed score gains are represented here.
Read the report behind the number
The continuously maintained HOD Report separates verified facts, supported reported allegations, disputed information, and unavailable information. A reviewed allegation is not a court finding. Nothing unverified may be released as a finding.
Where lawfully available and relevant, the record can include identity, employment or professional history, education, business affiliations, applicable public registrations, court or public records, verified reportings, and evidence-backed events. Protected characteristics and family or household relationships must not be used as improper scoring proxies.
- Check the report reference number and current status.
- Read the source, evidence, reviewer, and last-verification timestamp for each item.
- Distinguish report generation time from when a source was last verified.
- Unavailable information means not confirmed, not a negative conclusion.
Maintain an accurate record
Keep your identity and supporting documents current. Report material life or business changes within 30 days. Submit authentic evidence with dates and source details, respond to verification follow-ups, and dispute inaccurate or incomplete items promptly.
Accuracy and lawful corrections matter, not gaming a number. No payment, activity streak, submission count, or marketing promise guarantees a positive score.
Who can use the report
Your own score, report, monitoring, file disclosure, and disputes are free. Only verified businesses with a documented FCRA permissible purpose may purchase reports about others. Required authorization, identity matching, subject activation, manual review, and audit safeguards apply.
A purchased report is accessible for up to 30 calendar days from purchase. Further access requires repurchase and renewed purpose certification. A lawful user must satisfy its disclosure, authorization, and adverse-action obligations; Hub or Dub does not make its decision.
Corrections, disputes, and consumer protections
Use the free dispute process to identify the item, explain the problem, and provide supporting material. Request your file and sources, report mistaken identity or identity theft, and receive reinvestigation results. Inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable information must be corrected or deleted as applicable.
FCRA reinvestigations generally take 30 days; a lawful extension may apply in qualifying circumstances. This is separate from the 45-calendar-day activation investigation target, which can be extended for legitimate verification needs. Credit or financial history is manually reverified at least every 30 days where lawfully available.
This guide is general education, not legal advice or independent certification of regulatory compliance. Applicable state and local requirements and qualified legal-counsel review remain necessary.
