The Methodology

Evidence in. Verified truth out.

The HOD Score™ is a proprietary credibility rating from 0 to 1,000 that measures the verified trustworthiness of every person and business. Scores update in real time as new HOD Drops are submitted and verified records are added, modified, or confirmed. There is no fixed refresh cycle.

Real-time Evidence-based Cryptographically audited Manipulation-resistant

Getting your own HOD Score

Every new HOD Score is created after identity verification. Until your identity is verified, no report can be generated against it.

The Verification Principle

Real-time. Evidence-backed. Manually verified.

Evidence or it doesn't count

Every HOD Score and every report is built exclusively on verified, real-time reports, evidence, and publicly available findings. Nothing unverified, speculative, misleading, or unsupported ever publishes or moves a score.

Manually reviewed by Back Office

Every submission goes through Hub or Dub's dedicated Back Office verification team before it is published or influences a HOD Score. Human review, backed by evidence, on every single finding. Nothing submitted to Hub or Dub affects a HOD Score until the Back Office has manually reviewed and acted on it. Unanswered or unprocessed matters produce no scoring change.

Continuous, not scheduled

Unlike traditional platforms that recalculate on a fixed schedule, HOD Scores update the moment newly verified evidence is confirmed. Scores may rise or fall in real time as the truth changes. Score movement is deliberately calibrated. A single reporting or isolated event cannot cause a dramatic swing. Meaningful movement requires sustained, verified, substantive contributions to a record.

One profile, nationwide

Every person and every business gets one permanent HOD profile across the U.S., matched in real time by SSN, FEIN, or national ID equivalent. Identifiers are salted, SHA-256 hashed, and AES-256 encrypted at rest. No duplicates. No forks. One source of truth for identity and reputation.

How scores go up

A consistent, verified history of trustworthy conduct, credible evidence, positive real-world experiences, and no substantiated negative findings. Time alone, inactivity, or isolated positive reports do not lift a score.

How scores go down

Verified negative reports backed by evidence may lower a HOD Score and remain reflected in it until sufficient verified positive conduct and findings demonstrate meaningful improvement over time.

This real-time verification model is fundamental to Hub or Dub and is reflected throughout every feature, workflow, dashboard, algorithm, and report on the platform. Every HOD Score is transparent, evidence-based, continuously updated, manually verified, and representative of the most accurate and reliable information available at any given moment.

HOD Score™ vs traditional credit score
Credit score
Creditworthiness

Historical credit behavior reported by lenders.

Question it answers
How has this person repaid borrowed money?
Evidence it uses
Tradelines, balances, and delinquencies furnished to credit bureaus.
Time horizon
Backward looking, weighted to past credit activity.
Background check
History screening

Records available in the sources searched, at the moment of the search.

Question it answers
What records exist for this person right now, in these databases?
Evidence it uses
Court, criminal, and identity records within the searched jurisdictions.
Time horizon
A point-in-time snapshot tied to the day it was run.
HOD Score™
Real-time reputation

A continuously maintained picture built from verified, permissible evidence.

Question it answers
What can actually be proven about how this person or business shows up today?
Evidence it uses
Current public information, verified records, submitted documentation, and corroborated HOD Drops.
Time horizon
Present tense, with documented history kept in context.

A HOD Score™ is not a credit score and is not a substitute for any legally required background check or credit decision. It measures verified reputation. Credit and background screening measure different things, and Hub or Dub does not predict, replace, or restate either one.

How evidence moves the score

Toggle findings. The score responds instantly.

Only Back-Office-verified findings ever touch a score. Anonymous opinions and unverified claims never do. This is the real recomputation logic.

The six pillars

Six categories. Thousands of weighted signals.

Each pillar contributes verified evidence to the score. Every contribution is authenticated, weighted, and cross-checked before it can move a single point.

Live pipeline

From raw evidence to a locked, auditable score

Every HOD Score is the output of a five-stage pipeline that never sleeps. New verified evidence enters, propagates through the trust engine, and updates scores in real time.

Stage 01
Intake

HOD Drops submitted by users and findings opened by our Investigation Team enter the secure case queue. Nothing is auto-scraped into a score.

Stage 02
Investigate

A human investigator researches, corroborates, and documents every item through authorized screenings, records research, references, and submitted documentation.

Stage 03
Verify

Identity, document, metadata, device, and source checks authenticate every input before an investigator signs off.

Stage 04
Score

Weighted trust engine synthesizes evidence into a HOD Score between 0 and 1,000.

Stage 05
Audit

Every event is cryptographically timestamped and preserved in an immutable audit trail.

Stage 06
Recalculate

The score updates in real time as investigators verify new evidence, and every active account is re-investigated at least once every 3 months.

Proprietary trust weighting

Every data source is assigned a proprietary trust weight based on source reliability, legal authority, evidence quality, severity, frequency, recency, historical consistency, and independent corroboration. Older events gradually decrease in influence as sustained positive behavior is demonstrated.

14-layer authentication stack

Before affecting a score, every submission passes multiple independent layers of authentication. A failure at any layer stops the signal at the door.

What never moves a HOD Score

These signals receive no scoring value, or are penalized aggressively when detected. Manipulation attempts are permanently logged and can suppress a score below its baseline.

Anonymous opinions
Unverifiable claims
Coordinated reporting campaigns
Bots & fake reviews
Forged documents
Manipulated evidence
Duplicate accounts
Bribery attempts
Any platform manipulation
Manual score edits by anyone (impossible by design)
Unprocessed or unanswered matters

Continuous real-time updates

No human hand on the number. HOD Scores are calculated entirely by the system from manually verified information. No user, and no Back Office employee, can manually alter, configure, inflate, or manipulate a score or its calculation. Once released, a score cannot be edited, challenged, voted on, or purchased away. Scores update the moment newly verified reports, evidence, and public findings are confirmed by Back Office, no fixed schedule, no waiting cycle.

Cryptographic audit trail

Every verified event is cryptographically timestamped and permanently preserved, giving each score a complete, reviewable evidence chain.

Guardrails & limits

  • · Not a consumer report under the FCRA.
  • · Findings deduplicated and source-capped.
  • · Independent human review on edge cases.
  • · No single event can cause a dramatic score swing.
  • · Available across the U.S. and U.S. territories.
